Frustrated or Grateful?
I am learning that every day I have a choice in how I perceive my new reality.
I can choose to be frustrated with it or grateful for it.
I can choose to be frustrated that I need to use a syringe as a utensil or be grateful that a syringe is available as a utensil for me to use.
I can choose to be frustrated with my morning and night routine that can last me forty five minutes each or be grateful that we have things like sinus cleanses and salt & baking soda washes that help along the healing process.
I can choose to be frustrated with the fact I have an obturator and that I sound different or I can be grateful there are devices accessible to me like the obturator that give me the ability to speak.
I choose to be grateful.
How we see things matters.
I invite you to take a moment to think about something you are frustrated with. Then take a moment to...
Pause. Breathe. Pray.
See if you can shift from being frustrated to being grateful. For the lens we wear today gives us the perspective which we see things.
Choose the lens of gratitude, it is a seed that grows more peace within our hearts and minds.
With love and gratitude,
