Yesterday I was reminded how precious life is. We were on our way to a funeral - which already brings perspective to how precious life is - when we witnessed a car accident that had one person taken by life star. It was such a scary experience and I pray that all involved are okay.
What I witnessed yesterday was more than an accident.
I witnessed upwards of 20 people pour out from their cars, including a surgeon, nurses and others who came beside these people in their time of need to help them.
There were no barriers between these people.
They came beside one another, weaved together by their heartstrings of love, working together with the hope of making a difference in the lives of the injured.
With all that is happening in the world it makes me so sad that it takes the extreme situations like these to let go of all our differences and stand beside one another in love.
I don't want to wait for another accident, diagnosis, tragedy, etc. to stand beside one another in love. Today I ask you from the bottom of my heart to...
Stand beside me, and one another, in love.
What does that mean?
When you want to say, do, or write something that creates walls between hearts....
Pause. Breathe. Pray.
Choose to speak the truth in love. Choose to act with love as your foundation. Choose to write words that will create bridges between hearts. (even if it hurts at first)
Hang up your pride, ego, hate, negativity and instead "clothe yourselves today with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience, bearing with one another, and if you have a complaint against another, forgive each other. And above all these put on love which binds all together in perfect harmony." - Colossians 3:12-14
Imagine if each of us lived out these values today what a difference it would make. Change happens not by talking the talk, but by walking the walk.
I invite you to come beside me and join in this movement to live from the inside out with LOVE as our core and to live out love every chance we get.
