This is such a powerful meditation. Not knowing at the time but as I have been working on bettering my wellness, health, my marriage, parenting, finances, etc., over the past number of years, I was living out this quote.
As I share in the Introduction in my book, I am learning in life to look ahead to what I hope for, and then rewind to the moment. Then moment-by-moment, day-by-day I am doing my best to live out what is needed so that I can achieve the outcome hoped for.
If I hope for my soul to be well, I need to take the time to pause, breathe and pray everyday.
If I hope to be healthy, I need to take steps to eat well, exercise, rest, etc. to move in the direction of that intention.
If I hope for a strong marriage, I need to nourish it today through my words and actions.
If I hope to have children who can stand on solid ground as individuals, I need to help build that foundation as their Mom each day.
If you hope to be debt free, make choices to NOT spend on little things, or non-essentials, in the moment so you can pay down debt quicker.
Start the day today by,
Pausing. Breathing. Praying.
Think about, or even write down, what it is you want the most in the various areas of your life. As you walk through your day when you meet a fork in the road remember what you hope for. Then choose to not give up on what you want most, for what you want in the moment.
