For the majority of my life I was living from the outside in. I was trying to be anyone but me and I was following other people's paths. I wanted to look like this person, act like that person, have this life style, etc. I thought I was on the path to peace but I was actually headed in the other direction.
Maybe you can relate?
Changing my world around and living from the inside out with God's love as my core has transformed my life. I am here before you undone yet as together as I have ever been. I can freely say that I am a wife, a mom of three, an author and yoga teacher. I am 5'2" and have an athletic build and I feel most beautiful with my hair in a ponytail, when I have no make-up on and I am wearing yoga pants and a sweatshirt. I love quality time with my family and friends. I love being in nature, working out, playing games, dance parties in the kitchen, date nights at a pub or on the couch watching tv, snuggling on the couch under a blanket and wrapping my hands around a warm cup of tea. I love listening to people's real stories, I don't do well with surface conversations. I love thinking of ways I could make someone else's heart smile. I love how my relationship with God has transformed my life and am grateful my faith is the foundation on which I stand each day. Oh, and I write about serious stuff;-)
This is me.
Who are you?….
I am who I am without shame but with hope. With hope that by being who I am others will be encouraged and inspired to stop living from the outside in. That they will stop trying to be someone they are not. That they will stop following someone else's path.
Who we are is God's gift to us. Our gift to God is becoming who He made us to be.
I encourage you to...
Pause. Breathe. Pray.
Start this year living from the inside out. It is a worthwhile journey. Be the person God made you to be. It is a gift to God, a gift to yourself and a gift to the world.
Be well…and be you;-),
