I love this picture. My Aunt took it and sent it to me the day she received my book. We are on different spiritual paths yet we adore each other, meeting each other with love. This picture represents to me what we need more of in the world. We need more...
My aunt and I have compassion for one another and are always there for each other.
We are kind to one another, sharing and experiencing our lives fully without judgement of the others path.
We humble ourselves before each other embracing each other for who we are, and where we are in our individual journeys.
We are gentle with one another. We listen and talk with one another, speaking the truth in love.
We are patient with each other.
Above all, we love each other dearly and are there for each other whenever and wherever.
The world is full of people of varying opinions and beliefs. Everyday in the news I see pain and suffering because people meet others with hate instead of love. People put others down for their opinions and beliefs. Their ears are closed to hearing where another person is coming from. People are persecuting others with words and/or actions because they share different opinions and/or beliefs.
What if today we committed to be part of the change?
What if we choose today when we meet someone with a difference in opinions or beliefs we met them with compassion, with kindness? What if we practiced humility and gentleness? Patience and Love?
Why don't we try putting these into practice starting at home…and at work…and with the stranger you meet during the day.
As I mentioned in my book, "It is said a single flap of a butterfly's wings can change the quality of the air around it. And so it is for each of us. If we each live out love we would be the change to the quality of air in our homes, our families, and our communities."
Join me today in "putting on compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. And above all put on love" and witness what difference it makes to meet each other with love.
