Recently I have been struggling as a mom. My three year old has been, well a three year old, and I have been growing tired of the consistent redirecting and encouraging him to make wise choices; especially considering I am not sure anything I am doing is working.
This morning I came across this verse:
"Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." - Galatians 6:9
It reminded me the truth about parenting - we do not see what we are cultivating on a daily basis but to persevere trusting that the love and effort we put forth now will be worth it all in the long run.
To any other parent that needed to hear this today, I simply wanted to share and encourage you and let you know, you are not alone!
So today I am going to do my best to:
Pause. Breathe. Pray.
And give my best, remember I "get to" be a Mom (Stephen reflected that to me yesterday - something I needed to hear but didn't want to in the moment!), and trust I am making a difference, even though I may not see the harvest of my efforts today.
